Job Description
✅AVG Annual $112k-$138k per year
✅$43–$53/hr base (depending on experience)
✅ Shift: Monday–Friday | 7am-5pm (earlier schedule 5am-3pm is also available)
Location: Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, and surrounding areas)
Position:
Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for their next Senior Industrial Electrician. We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Electrician to take ownership of electrical systems and troubleshooting within a fast-paced manufacturing
Duties/Responsibilities:
Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:
- Maintain and service electrical equipment including motor control centers, electrical switchgear, plant control systems, generators, instrumentation and controls, breakers, motors, miscellaneous electrical systems and other associated equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues within automated equipment and control circuits to minimize downtime and optimize performance
- Perform reliability analysis of motors, drives, and supporting electrical equipment
- Collaborate with corporate engineers and vendors on capital projects and upgrades, ensuring electrical systems are integrated properly
- Maintain and update electrical parts inventory to support ongoing operations and ensure obsolete parts are replaced. Ensure new generation parts are compatible with existing equipment.
- Plan and execute electrical hardware upgrades including sourcing parts, coordinating programming changes, and updating schematics.
- Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems.
- Create and maintain SOP’s for maintaining and troubleshooting the factory electrical systems.
- Reads and understand wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
- Maintain factory VFD’s including SEW, Siemens, Lenze, Allen Bradley and ABB to ensure system programs and parameters are maintained & updated.
- Tests electrical equipment, such as motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, ohm meter, thermal imaging, etc.
- Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
- Maintain safety instrumented systems (SIS) to manage risk and prevent hazardous events. Periodic testing to ensure proper function.
- Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 7 + years of industrial electrical experience
- In-depth knowledge of applicable standards including IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, and utility interconnection requirements
- Advanced experience in control panel wiring, rigid conduit installation, and complex electrical assemblies
- Advanced knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLC’s, AC/DC drive systems. Knowledgeable on Profibus and various types of computer-operated control circuitry
- Read and comprehend schematics and diagrams in both USA (NEMA/ANSI) and European (IEC) standards.
- Good technical writing ability and verbal communication skills
- Experience with siemens control systems preferred.
- Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC,0-10vdc, and 4-20mA systems
- Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other testing equipment
- Skilled in using a various software applications including Microsoft Excel, CMMS, ERP, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in electrical safety standards and PPE usage
- Able to operate manlifts, forklifts and similar industrial equipment.
- Comfortable working in heavy industrial environments.
Education and Experience:
Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)
