Job Description

The Senior Director of Brand and Communications works within the Marketing Team to share the company’s exciting announcements to amplify our voice in the market and establish SmartRecruiters as a trusted global brand.

The ideal hire is a brand and communications pro who:

  • Loves writing with every fiber of their being and is a gifted storyteller - they approach every assignment with a fresh angle and point of view aligned to the company’s vision and initiatives
  • Has a proven history producing engaging communication pieces including press releases, blog articles, speaking pitches and presentations, analyst briefings, award applications, social posts, marketing campaign and website copy and any other writing project that may need to be crafted to meet our brand voice and tone
  • Is stellar at developing and shaping our leadership team’s executive platform(s) and working closely with customers to tell their stories
  • Proactively source company news from various departments and stakeholders and execute on a buzz-worthy editorial calendar
  • Demonstrable skill set to partner with press, PR firms, analysts, executives, and industry thought leaders to drive influential brand awareness  
  • Works cross-departmentally to develop and shape our brand voice and connect the dots across our buyer’s journey from awareness to advocacy
  • Supports PR efforts with research and data discovery to give our stories life and help companies understand that their talent is their greatest asset

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience as seasoned professional in the corporate communications world or brand field
  • AP writing skills
  • Experience developing global communications teams and driving results  
  • Understanding of integrated marketing and communications approach
  • A knack for taking content and creating engaging and thought-provoking stories and thought leadership that moves industries/buyers and accelerate sales cycles
  • Great organization skills and managing multiple projects and writing assignments at once
  • Analytical and metrics-driven with a methodical approach to driving visitors and providing Sales with the aircover they need to accelerate the sales cycles

Preferred

  • Experience in a high-tech B2B demand generation or sales supporting marketing role
  • Experience in the HR or recruiting technology space

Reporting lines: The Senior Director of Brand and Communications reports directly to the Global VP of Marketing and is deeply aligned with our revenue GTM team.
