Job Description

ProSidian Consulting seeks Junior Consultant  (Sales & Operations Support Specialist) for our Consulting practice to join us in our Charlotte, NC office.  This role is key to supporting the timely execution of business operations, revenue-generating, and client engagement activities.  Junior Consultants (Sales & Operations Support Specialists) with ProSidian Consulting have a BA or equivalent qualification and 3-5 years of experience.  This includes researching and documenting possible business opportunities, modifying and managing our proposal development process, and communicating the status of these activities with the appropriate stakeholders.

This position will participate in identifying solutions to important client challenges / opportunities, support the production of results for engagement team deliverables and internal firm initiatives, drive change and impact client outcomes.  In this position, you will use your skills to participate in all phases of the business development and management process.  Reporting directly to the Managing Principal, you will be integral to the development and management of the firm and share revenues with potential equity stake based on future successes for strategic five (5) year goals and objectives.

Although daily activities may change and evolve, the following represent the initial primary areas of activity: 45% Internal Operations Focus, 45% Business Dev Initiatives, and 10% Client Service.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with other consultant practices and company business units, interfacing with contract On-Demand resources, and working with other Engagement Team Members (new employees, fellows, contractors, and collaborating partners) to develop or support business opportunities.

Junior Consultants also help clients identify, define operational issues, then develop and implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness and achieve positive results.  This role will be provided a rare opportunity to learn the business by being vertically integrated in all operations such as market sector research, business development, client interface and support, and engagement delivery for work in Enterprise Service Solutions for Risk Management | Compliance | Business Process | IT Effectiveness | Engineering | Environmental | Sustainability | and Human Capital.  The ideal candidate is energetic, willing to learn, and seeks experience beyond entry level in Management Consulting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn, a comfort with consulting as an industry and abstract thoughts and capable of handling a constantly changing environment where work may be strategic and tactical within a small growing firm.  1-3 years’ experience in specific field/position/industry (Recent college graduates welcome - will provide training) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field preferred.  Working knowledge of basic business processes, Microsoft Office Tools, and an understanding and comfort with new technology tools.  Reports to the Firm executive team, including the Managing Principal; will interact with Firm clients, business partners, and other external contacts; does not have any direct reports.  Work can translate to a broad experience base in many industries.  The right attitude, willingness to learn, interest in management consulting and comfort in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.

KEY EXPECTATIONS (A):  Junior Consultants shall apply strategic thinking, business writing, problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills to assist multivariate initiatives to include sales support, the pursuit of business outcomes, thought leadership, and business operations.  The Junior Consultant works directly with the ProSidian Managing Principal, Engagement Teams, Practice Area Leaders, Contractors, and other Collaborating Partners to support our go to market strategy, which provides strategically diversified business and technical services for consulting clients.  Responsible for providing support to functional areas of Management & Business Consulting including, program support, market area research, proposal writing, project team support/participation general administration duties, operations support, and all other duties as assigned.  The position is critical to ensure efficient operation and growth of the firm and will be given training and exposure to all aspects of the firm, the consulting industry, and client functions.

  • Support and Manage our sales process

  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws, as well as, ProSidian Consulting policies and procedures.
  • Set-up/ Support new accounts for billing, and manage the process for consultant and contractor payments where required.

  • Execute on prospecting/lead-generation activities within Sales Executive territories

  • Schedule introductory meetings with client prospects and attend in conjunction with Practice leaders on client meetings
