Job Description
Job purpose
The position will ensure that production planning is aligned with scheduled orders and forecasts. In addition, the role’s main responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, identifying key partners, and negotiating procurement agreements to support the company’s objectives.
Main Accountabilities and Tasks
Leads and develops a team of three, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance across responsibilities.
Production Planning
Manages production planning (rough and detailed) for defined injection molding machines and automatic assembly orders.
Implements sales planning, converting sales items into production items (semi-finished and finished goods).
Coordinates with the order management group to schedule and confirm specific customer orders from both internal and external customers.
Schedules orders from sales planning and customer orders into production orders, considering entrepreneurial and economic factors.
Plans short- to medium-term requirements for external services and reserves necessary capacities.
Ensures the supply of semi-finished goods for final assembly.
Manages third-party service partners (extended workbenches, contract manufacturers).
Defines and maintains scheduling parameters required for production control.
Tracks order deadlines and initiates corrective actions in case of deviations.
Procurement Management
Manages the direct and indirect order fulfillment process, including purchase order entry, administration, and expediting of incoming products.
Executes the purchase order tracking process, ensuring orders are processed in line with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards.
Oversees the new vendor setup process.
Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing cost.
Prepares, reviews, and analyzes regular reports to monitor procurement KPIs, inventory levels, service levels, and inventory turns, and makes adjustments as needed.
Oversees and supports the global forecast planning process, while also assisting local sales with forecast planning and adjusting sourcing requirements as required.
Maintains close communication with medmix Corporate Procurement to ensure alignment with global strategies and policies.
Manages customer packaging and subcontractor processes.
Tracks changes in business needs and adjusts order quantities to support increases or decreases in demand.
Enters expected receipts based on order confirmations from vendors.
Reviews the weekly open purchase order report, updating and addressing discrepancies as required.
Process Improvement
Facilitates process improvements and cost optimization to enhance the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management.
Works closely and communicates effectively with customer service, order entry, and the sales team.
Qualifications
Work experience: 5+ years planning experience in a manufacturing environment, as well relevant experience in procurement
Education: Bachelor’s Degree

- Outgoing self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Team player with focus on building organizational relationships to achieve corporate goals
- SAP, ERP experience preferred
- Efficient in MS Office Products
