Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Data Analytics to join our company of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers. We're looking for an exceptional people leader to scale our data organization and drive data-driven transformation across the business. If you excel at building high-performing teams, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, and translating data capabilities into business value, this role is for you.
The job in brief:
Job Title - Head of Data Analytics
Model - hybrid from Switzerland
Team - you will join the Data Analytics area within the Data department.
Level - Managerial and Tech leading with Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources and technical knowledge, reporting to Chief Data Officer
Location - Chiasso
Contract - Permanent full-time (EUR 36 h/week)

Leadership & People Management:
Lead and manage a cross-functional team of 51 data professionals, including:
Data Engineers
Business Analytics
Data Analytics
Foster a high-performance culture by providing mentorship and leadership to the team, encouraging continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Develop clear career paths and growth opportunities for team members, ensuring strong retention, upskilling, and professional development across all levels.
2. Driving Data Value & Function Scaling:
• Drive the strategic scaling of data initiatives by leading the continuous evolution of data management approaches to ensure efficiency and business value.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks in data workflows, ensuring that data accessibility and agility are optimized across the organization. Streamline data processes to allow faster, more accurate insights and real-time decision-making.
• Implement self-service data platforms to enable business teams to autonomously access, analyze, and act on data insights, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the company.
3 Data Strategy:
• Develop and lead the execution of a long-term data strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across all data operations.
• Drive the decentralization of data ownership by implementing a Data Mesh architecture, empowering domain teams to manage their data effectively while maintaining strong governance and data quality standards.
4. Project Management & Coordination:
• Lead cross-functional data and AI projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with strategic business goals.
• Implement Agile project management methodologies to prioritize tasks and optimize resource allocation across the data and AI teams.
• Define KPIs and performance metrics for data and AI initiatives, ensuring that projects deliver measurable business outcomes.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Data-Driven Culture:
• Collaborate with senior business leaders across departments (e.g., finance, marketing, sales, and operations) to align data strategies and AI innovations with business needs.
• Promote a data-first culture across the organization by providing key stakeholders with real-time insights and predictive analytics to support business growth and efficiency.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing recommendations on how to leverage data and AI to create competitive advantages and drive business innovation.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
• Encourage continuous learning and the adoption of new tools and methodologies within the data and AI teams, ensuring that the organization is always positioned to leverage the latest advancements.
• Optimize data operations and workflows, consistently seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the delivery of insights across the organization.
