Job Description

Purpose of Role:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work within our progressive team

The Day to Day:

  • Map all of the dependencies for systems supporting Important Business Services across esure to align with Operational Resilience regulation
  • Provide input and mentorship to impacts of failures within the dependencies
  • Design and test scenarios to prove esure’s ability to stay within defined impact tolerances
  • Continually look for ways to help improve team performance
  • Support the Head of Operational Resilience and the rest of the team in activities to provide an initial self assessment and to transition into a business as usual structure in March 2022
  • Promote resilience across the organisation to support our customers and business, reducing the overall risk to both
  • Produce accurate and timely data to support the programme at all levels of the organisation
  • Implement systems to support the recording of data associated with Operational Resilience
  • The role will be based in Reigate and may require some travel to Manchester & Glasgow

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience in IT dependency mapping techniques
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery techniques
  • An understanding of PRA and FCA Operational Resilience regulations for financial firms
  • Strong reporting skills to produce reports up to Board level

Soft skills

  • Be resilient when coping with changing demands of a high focus programme
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with people across esure within and outside of IT Facilitation skills, running workshops for business units
  • Ability to work with people across esure at all levels
  • Attention to detail

Bonus points

  • A Service Continuity or Business Continuity background
  • Experience of large SaaS implementations
  • General Insurance experience
  • Building APIs or ETL tools to share data across platforms
