Job Description
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal network operation.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and access controls.
- Maintain and support network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Conduct network capacity planning, upgrades, and performance optimizations.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
- Work closely with security teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Automate network configurations and management using scripting and network management tools.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network administrators.
- Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network administration or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, HPE, or other enterprise networking hardware.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Python scripting, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP or equivalent.
- Experience with SD-WAN, VoIP, and wireless networking.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and network segmentation strategies.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
