Job Description

Join our Brisbane team as an experienced Business Support Officer on a permanent basis!

This opportunity will expose you to a wide range of tasks, encompassing general administration and project support, with additional involvement in finance and HR activities.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Director of First Impressions: Be the face of our team in a collaborative environment, welcoming our clients and supporting staff members.
  • General Office Duties: Managing meeting rooms, coordinating deliveries/mail, and answering incoming phone calls.
  • Coordination and Maintenance of the Office Environment: You will be delegated the responsibility and authority to maintain every aspect of a newly fitted-out office, from ensuring it is stocked and functional to liaising with facilities management.
  • Staff Event Management: Coordinate staff functions, social events, conferences and workshops (in line with the company’s financial delegations).
  • Administration Legend: Provide essential administrative support to our team from formatting project proposals and reports to reconciliation of credit card and expense claims.
  • Systems All-Rounder: Understand our different systems and guide staff to subject matter experts such as IT or Finance Team when queries are raised.
  • Organisational Manager: Efficiently coordinating and managing files and documents on various platforms such as the company share drive and Teams environment.
  • Travel Agent: Assist our team to navigate business travel requirements via Corporate Traveller.
  • Welcome our New Team Members: Our company is growing! Assist with onboarding and ensuring a smooth first-day induction.
  • Training Coordinator: Book essential training for our team members and maintain the company’s training matrix.
  • Health and Safety Champion: Along with the health and safety representative manage the emergency response and workplace inspection audits.
  • Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Investigator: Work with our team toward a Carbon Zero certification

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, even under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - enabling seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and adept at working within a dynamic team environment, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accurate typing abilities.
  • Demonstrated self-awareness with a solution-oriented, collaborative approach.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity/role within a Professional Services or Consultancy environment (whilst not essential, is indeed desirable)
