Job Description

The Sales Engineer blends deep technical and product expertise with strategic leadership and client-facing insights throughout the sales cycle and full customer relationship. 

This transversal role is pivotal to the sales process, customer growth and customer experience, requiring coordination with multiple stakeholders across various teams, including Sales Executives, Account Managers, Customer Growth teams, Marketing, and Product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Partner with Sales to analyze prospect requirements and business challenges using the MEDDPICC framework. Translate customer goals into compelling EcoVadis solution scenarios.
  • Deal Progression: Drive Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by supporting key opportunities, answering complex functional/technical questions, and lead the technical response for RFIs and RFPs. Conduct vigorous dry runs on strategic deals and customer engagements
  • Solution Excellence: Design and deliver high-impact product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the value of the EcoVadis suite to C-level stakeholders, via our existing Demo capabilities. 
  • Subject Matter Leadership: Serve as the regional expert on the sustainability regulatory landscape, supply chain / sustainability procurement trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Best practice sharing: Providing regular reports to the Field Expert team and identifying areas for improvement across the regions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key stakeholder providing regional feedback on market trends to influence future product strategy.
  • Performance & Enablement: Track engagement KPIs via Salesforce and exchange with other Sales Engineers on best-practice sharing and high adoption of resources.
  • Sales Engineering internal collaboration:  with the product specialists on  existing clients and internal customer success  teams for smooth adoption and implementation of the EcoVadis suite.

Qualifications

  • Expertise: 2-3 years of experience in SaaS Sales, Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or technical Sustainability roles.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the sustainability procurement or supply chain functions, ESG trends, and the global regulatory landscape.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills; ability to simplify complex technical and regulatory concepts for executive audiences in English 
  • Technical Acumen: Experience with CRM tools (e.g.Salesforce) and a proven ability to navigate fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; 
  • Mindset: A self-motivated fast learner with a "consultative" approach to solving customer problems. Adaptability to navigate a fast-growing organization and an evolving market.
