Job Description

Join us on the Databridge Team! DataBridge is a collection of backend services powering the Merkury platform, connecting Merkle's people-based insights to the digital advertising ecosystem. The Lead Software Engineer will be neck deep in data workflows, building pipelines in Apache Airflow, AWS, and Snowflake. They will work closely with the data engineering architect and report to the senior director.

Responsibilities:

  • You will design, code, deploy and maintain data processes using Python and SQL.
  • You will containerize business functionality and migrate services into a cloud agnostic environment.
  • You will analyze data and metadata to build automated monitoring systems across all operations.
  • You will continuously improve the tech stack to align with higher level organizational goals.
  • You will participate in agile software development practices to coordinate with the larger team.
  • You will independently research and prototype relevant technologies, features, and services as they become available.

Qualifications

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Scripting experience using Python or similar a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile teams a plus.
  • Utilizes analytic skills using SQL and Excel (can perform complex functions) .
  • identifies and visualizes data anomalies.
  • Experience using AWS or similar cloud services and best practices.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 - $106,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
