Job Description
The Email Portfolio Lead, Director – Retail/CPG role, reporting to the SVP, Messaging Delivery Lead, provides guidance leading digital marketing delivery teams, identifies or clarifies challenges, and makes recommendations to resolve challenges. You will lead daily program operations for a portfolio of accounts within the Retail/CPG department, including project scope, deliverables, resource and capacity planning, and client and project profitability. You will work with the discipline leads to assess quality control checks and process improvements. You will also manage the digital execution and be the main escalation point for all programs in their portfolio. You will have managerial responsibilities leading direct reports. Success is measured through client satisfaction, employee satisfaction, continued improvement to process, project effectiveness, and profitability indicators.
This is a remote role. Average 10%-30% travel (contingent on comfort level of client)
Responsibilities:
- Client Satisfaction
- You will add value by partnering with discipline areas to lead our client's marketing strategy and offer creative marketing solutions to create brand-consumer interactions that accelerate our client's growth
- You will be the delivery SME and internal partner providing industry-based best practices and expertise
- Communication
- You will ensure that all organizations/partner agencies participating in our client's programs have the necessary information to fulfill their responsibilities
- You will consultatively speak with all members of the team, including project management and technical representatives
- You will maintain working relationships with our client, their partners and the Merkle team.
- Quality
- You will ensure that our client's performance objectives are met for their program while also overseeing completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines
- You will work with our client to understand and define program objectives and requirements
- You will oversee and ensure remediation process is followed for all client/customer-facing incidents, including formal RCA
- Program Planning
- You will compile and oversee the program plan with contributions from all participating organizations
- You will maintain the plan throughout the program, while tracking and communicating progress and milestone completions
- You will work with the capabilities, Client Success, partner agencies, and the client to identify and resolve issues and remove obstacles
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in marketing program/project management or technology, with an emphasis on digital marketing programs
- Experience with developing teams and developing team members
- Experience translating technical requirements to marketing and non-technical partners
- Experience managing project or development teams and leading creative direction
- Experience building relationships with clients and being viewed as a partner
- Experience in client-facing or client management role, specifically within Retail/CPG industries
- Understanding of Email Platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, Braze, or similar platforms
- Bachelor's Degree required
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
