Job Description
We are looking for someone able to:
- Design, maintain, and enhance software applications using Java and related technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and drive optimization and improvement initiatives
- Conduct code reviews, provide recommendations, and lead code refactoring and performance enhancement efforts
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolutions
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable and efficient REST web services
- Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
- Integrating applications with other enterprise systems, using industry-standard integration technologies and best practices
- Work with monitoring tools to enhance system performance and lead performance improvement initiatives
- Explore, evaluate, and drive the adoption of new technologies and frameworks to improve system architecture and development processes
- Configure and manage version control repositories using AWS CodeCommit to ensure efficient collaboration among development team
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline to automate software delivery processes
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines, and drive the adoption of best practices across the team
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, share knowledge with the team, and drive continuous learning and improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Java development
- Experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring MVC
- Proficiency in designing and architecting robust RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in building dynamic front-end applications with AngularJS (1.8)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and JSON
- Experience integrating third-party applications
- Experience with containerization using Docker or Podman is a plus
- Proficient in GIT, with knowledge of branching strategies, code reviews, and best practices
- Knowledge working with AWS services, particularly AWS CodeCommit and AWS CodePipeline
- Strong knowledge of SQL and understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and database schema design
- Experience with optimization and monitoring tools (SolarWinds preferred)
- Proficiency in Maven, with exposure to building automation, dependency management, and continuous integration
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Of curious nature and open-minded
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener, work well with others, and trusted by colleagues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently within a team and across departments
- Degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Fluent in English
