Job Description
This is a hybrid role and will report to the EVP/SVP of the Amex Consulting group.
We are looking for an accomplished business leader who can help guide Amex through its marketing & business problems as a true strategic partner. This role includes deliverables like positioning, comms planning, content development, digital experience, performance marketing, and organizational consulting. It requires you to feel comfortable leading and pitching strategy, being a true partner to clients, showing a passion for the brand and category, and easily navigating an ever-evolving environment.

- You can lead the brand's strategy with partners including internal and external agency partners
- Build and sustain relationships with senior-level clients, and becomes our client's trusted strategic partner.
- Think collaboratively with multiple disciplines in the agency to present client brand-building opportunities and agency-building initiative
- Isn't afraid to jump in and build new bridges across our network, and client teams
- Increase growth, but also establish and integrate teams
- Always be one step ahead daily of what needs to be accomplished
- Identify client issues and work with our agency partners to provide solutions
- Provide honest and valuable counsel to agency team
- Collaborate with agency partners as an IAT leader
- Create applicable development plans for direct reports
- Inspire agency and client confidence and seek opportunities to advance our client relationship
- Fuel agency culture and progress
- Empower teams through engaging career development practices; maximize learning and productivity while minimizing turnover
- In partnership with Portfolio Lead/EVP/SVP oversees client financials and account profitability
- Analyze P&L statements and take necessary action to ensure profitability
- Provide leadership on agency delivery; ensure all deliverables are produced on time, on budget, and meet our client's expectations
Qualifications
10-12 Years of integrated agency account management experience
5 years in a senior supervisory role.
Account team leader/senior client advisor
Able to empower, keep teams on track, and participate in professional development of staff.
Demonstrate superior oral, written and strategic abilities
Doesn’t need to be a consultant by trade! It’s ok if your background is advertising specific as long as you are strategic and want to learn!
Has previously experience in complex categories / strategically rigorous corporate image businesses (can wrap your head around complex perceptual challenges)
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,850. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
