Job Description

Merkle is seeking a Lead QA Automation Analyst; in this role you will help implement and ensure high-level quality standards for project deliverables/implementations across the entirety of the organization's offerings. The preferred candidate has experience working on ecommerce software development projects with Cypress Automation and is comfortable working independently within multiple high-functioning development teams. With your QA Automation Engineer experience, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining test automation scripts to be used in development and production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Test across multiple environments and multiple websites
  • Plan, monitor and control the testing activities and tasks.
  • Documentation of defects and troubleshooting findings
  • Coordinate software testing process activities, and implement test automation best practices
  • Communicate effectively with business units, development teams, clients, and project management to facilitate and ensure functionality of unique accounts
  • Develop, design, and implement test requirements, test schedules, test cases, test plans, test tools, and test scripts including, but not limited to Functional or Regression
  • Ability to focus on project deadlines and deliverables by tracking the assigned tasks to the QA team members assigned to the project
  • Attend internal and external project meetings to understand client requirements and contribute to project definition, as necessary
  • Prioritize testing based on risk and business deadlines
  • Assess situations and quickly identify solutions
  • Produce client deliverables such as automated test cases, test reports, and client presentations
  • Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality to promote client satisfaction
  • Share knowledge with the team through training, documents, etc.
  • Flexibility to learn new technologies as required
  • Independently manage assigned tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience testing web applications utilizing test automation
  • Expert level Cypress Automation experience
  • Ability to mentor and lead QA team members
  • Ability to assign/re-assign tasks to other test engineers.
  • Working knowledge of version control such as Git
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as an aptitude to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner
  • Software testing experience in an Agile development environment
  • Ability to work quickly with attention to detail
  • Proven experience with risk assessment identification and communication along with providing recommendations for reducing risk exposure
  • Ability to operate comfortably in a multi-priority and multiple project environment
  • A background that includes experience in either IT Consulting or Marketing Agency
  • Ability to balance priorities and work cooperatively with cross functional teams
  • The following are preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in one or more of the additional following platforms: Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Salesforce Service Cloud, Drupal
  • Cross-browser testing experience
  • Knowledge of test simulation tools a plus

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $94,000k- $152,375k. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
