Job Description

You will work with the Dentsu Audit team to ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of planning and reporting activities. Help identify risks within the business while examining and evaluating the adequacy of controls available to mitigate those risks. You will work across the Americas region, though may also involve other parts of the Group in the EMEA & Asia Pacific. As the Senior Internal Auditor, you will report to Internal Audit Manager, Americas. This is a hybrid position that will require on-site work in the New York office.

Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the strategic direction and values of the dentsu Audit department (including IA Strategy, IA Charter, Ways of Working, Team values) ensuring that the activities executed, and behaviors exhibited align with the department and company.
  • Conduct assigned audit engagements across the entire audit life cycle following IIA and dentsu Internal Audit standards
  • Work with Audit management team to develop relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Regional & Country Finance Directors) to help ensure the audit work is carried out adequately and addresses the key risks in the Group
  • Work with the business to facilitate improvements in the control environment to mitigate risks to an acceptable level
  • Ensure that reported actions agreed with management are followed-up to establish whether they have been carried out to an acceptable level
  • Identify important findings, draft audit reports, and prepare appropriate recommendations for management. Help with special projects and J-SOX/ audit administration.
  • Ensure that all appropriate documents are produced to the high-quality standard and retained on Riskonnect.
  • Help prepare the internal audit plan and appropriate Management and Audit Committee reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years internal audit experience (financial & operational) in a Big 4 or global enterprise
  • Good relationship management capability, including dealing with senior management
  • Enthusiastic, confident and a team player
  • Ability to travel - Up to 40% travel both domestic and international. At times up to 2-week blocks of time (currently travels are around 20%, possibly to restart in 2024)
  • Conduct remote audit work
  • Relevant audit qualification (e.g., CIA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, ACMA) or progress toward certification
  • Additional languages skills such as Spanish or Portuguese are a plus

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
