Job Description
MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a strategic and creative Senior Director, Sponsorship Consulting to partner with our Fortune 500 client and serve as an internal expert in the motorsport's sponsorship ecosystem. Reporting into the Senior Vice President, you will play an important role as a client relationship manager and help drive partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management, and measurement. You will lead a dynamic team of experts in setting the strategic direction and implementing marketing programs for one of the most high-profile organizations in US motorsports. We offer a hybrid work environment ( 2-3 days in the office), and the priority is for this position to sit in our Charlotte, NC location.
You will be the trusted advisor in providing recommendations, manage all resources to ensure our client's marketing needs are met, while leading and monitoring the daily activities, identify new business building insights and opportunities. Ensure you are motivating their team and working with other departments to develop strategies to build our client's business.
Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing strategic counsel to help client(s) maximize their investment in motorsports and the broader sports and entertainment landscape
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop integrated strategic solutions to client challenges
Assume client relationship manager status
Lead junior teams to ensure all programming meets client goals and that all partnership assets are used
Work with sanctioning bodies, rightsholders and partner agencies to help develop outstanding marketing programs
Understand and meet our client's evolving needs
Oversee short-term programming while simultaneously prioritizing long-term strategic planning/thinking at important intervals throughout the year
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in sponsorship strategy and activation with a significant portion of that experience in NASCAR/motorsports
BA/BS in Marketing related field
Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
A comprehensive understanding of the sponsorship industry as a whole, including commercial aspects
Travel is required, including some weekends and occasional holidays depending on client assignments
Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix - social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, experiential, media and marketing promotions
Additional Information
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $83,760-$110,250. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
