Job Description

Dentsu Sports is looking for a dynamic and experienced SVP of Commercial Sales to join our team. You will increase the commercial success of our global sports properties and consulting capabilities in North America. The SVP will have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive sales strategy and implement it by prospecting and engaging with potential clients. This hybrid opportunity will be based in New York, NY and report into the Global Chief Commercial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a brand-led sales strategy for North America in collaboration with MKTG teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with global premium properties, leading the sales process from deck creation to inventory management, pricing, and client services. Sell these rights to brand clients and provide service offerings across North America.
  • Collaborate with MKTG teams to sell sports and entertainment consulting services to brand clients.
  • Lead regional sales tactics, including attending industry summits and exhibitions (sports, trade, advertising, vertical categories) and hosting sales workshops for brand clients.
  • Ensure targeted revenue generation through the management of CRM performance.
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in expertise plans, aligning with agency marketing and integrated client lead efforts to achieve strategic growth in North America.
  • Assist the CCO in identifying, evaluating, and strategizing growth areas, market reach, and implementation in North America.

Qualifications

  • 10+ year's experience commercializing sports and entertainment properties.
  • 10+ year's experience implementing sales strategies by prospecting and engaging with potential clients, delivering presentations and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience developing a comprehensive commercial sales strategy and creating impactful sales approaches to communicate the value proposition of our agencies capabilities.
  • Experience closing global and regional sponsorship deals, with contract values exceeding eight figures in USD, for sports and esports properties

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $275,000-$375,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for commission following the terms of the company's plan in effect at the time the commission is earned. The company's commission plans are subject to change.
