Job Description

Role Purpose: The Email Marketing Manager works within Merkle's Corporate Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Director of Digital Experience. You will manage and execute Merkle's external email communications, implement B2B email marketing strategies, and promote engagement and conversions. The Email Marketing Manager will enhance the program through email and automation best practices, requiring an understanding of Merkle's business. Additionally, you will use your experience in platforms such as Marketo and Pardot, acting as a technical consultant to the marketing team during strategic planning discussions. You will have excellent project management skills, experience with documentation, and a commitment to educating peers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive email marketing strategies to support our goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end email marketing process, including campaign planning, content creation, testing, deployment, and performance tracking.
  • Implement and optimize email nurture programs to drive lead generation and prospect engagement.
  • Promote marketing content in email newsletters that is tailored and optimized for target audiences, aiming to drive engagement and client retention.
  • Manage email programs for our events and webinars.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Operations, Demand Generation, Content, Copywriting, and Creative.
  • Segment and target email lists based on criteria, including buyer personas, customer segments, and behavioral data.
  • Create compelling email templates and landing pages that follow brand guidelines and best practices for optimal user experience and engagement.
  • Analyze email marketing metrics to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and provide relevant insights to improve performance.
  • Conduct A/B tests and implement data-driven optimization strategies to improve email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on email marketing best practices, automation platforms, and tools.
  • Maintain an understanding of our target audience, customer journey, and competitive landscape to drive effective segmentation and personalized email experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, privacy laws, and best practices for data protection.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in email marketing.
  • Knowledge of platforms including Marketo, Pardot, and Salesforce.
  • Understanding of lead management processes.
  • Experience with frequent reporting and optimizations.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
