You are a self-motivated, positive, highly organized, and dynamic individual who thrives on providing exceptional client service. You love to partner and develop winning solutions in collaboration with your sales team and you are skilled at ensuring each department meets the needs of your client and their advertisers. You have a track record of communicating effectively, planning, and aligning to a strategy and meeting deadlines. You can manage a high volume of business, work across internal cross-functional departments on programs in various stages of their delivery and prioritize accordingly. You have worked with clients in develop and execute multi-platform campaigns spanning display, search, off-site, in-store, CTV, OOH, coupons, email, etc.
This role is an ideal fit for a candidate with 5+ plus years of digital media experience, client services or account management experience who enjoys building internal and external relationships that matter by going the extra mile. You have held Senior level AM positions and / or have had direct reports in the past. In a Senior Account Manager position, it’s not just about getting the job done. It’s about getting the job done right.
What the role is
The Senior Account Manager is the central hub and is responsible for managing campaigns from start to finish by coordinating with cross functional teams to ensure the RMN delivers on time and to the advertiser’s satisfaction. A Sr. AM is the main point of contact post IO signature. AM are responsible for knowing all about their campaigns: Campaign goals, key dates, stages of campaigns, media planning, creative, and post campaign reporting. Sr. AMs can balance internal processes, manage timelines and prioritize client needs. The Sr. AM is the first line of defense to successfully troubleshoot client issues, ranging from basic campaign delivery issues to more complex technical issues working closely with Director of Account Manager, Head of Sales and Product. Sr. AM partners with their sales team to identify potential upsell opportunities. The Account Manager will be proficient in organization, project management, process execution, and finding resolutions to complex scenarios. In the Sr. AM position you may also be a people manager and can flex as a player/coach, potentially hiring and training AM’s or Acct Coordinators over time. Defining success for a Senior Account Management is: On time Launches, Advertiser Delight, Efficiency across cross– campaign workflows and growth of existing advertiser business.
In this role you will:
- Manage suppliers’ Retail Media advertising campaigns in pre-sale (account strategy development through to post campaign performance and billing)
- Lead the end-to-end process for campaigns collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Media, Creative, and Analytics holding them accountable to the client goals and timelines
- Provide strategic recommendations based on historical campaign performance and the clients’ KPIs that drive incremental revenue
- Communicate often with the client and understand their focus and needs
- Aid with systematic campaign billing by reviewing for accuracy
- Communicate efficiently with internal teams ensuring the functional departments are completing their tasks on time and correctly (media plans, audiences, creative, activation and reporting)
- Adhere to the RACi processes in place for Merkle’s Retail Media Network ensuring the needs of the clients are being met
- Aid with systematic campaign billing by reviewing for accuracy
- Assist sales team with insights that allow for potential incremental revenue opportunities
- CRM hygiene ensuring accurate pipeline forecasting
- Be a player / coach and potential oversee direct reports
- Report to the Director of Account Management and partner to continuously improve and evolve predictable and repeatable processes allowing the business to scale
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Five plus years’ experience in retail media and/or account management, client service positions where relationship management is pivotal
- Player / Coach role where you have had direct reports or have performed in a higher-level account management position
- Proven track record of working in a team environment whereby partnering, solutioning, meeting deadlines across a designated book of business was your main responsibility
- Demonstrates time and resource management skills aligned to short- and long-term goals
- Proven track record of demonstrating how client needs are being met, fostering relationships and seeking ways to drive additional revenue with assigned client base
- Proficiency in Microsoft Tools including Excel, PPT as well as Teams and Workflow Systems and Tools
- Strong knowledge of the media and advertising industry is a plus
- Experience working with Sales platforms and CRM systems
- Can do attitude where positivity prevails in tough situations

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$106,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
