Job Description

Isobar Public Sector is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead the development of insightful data products for one of our premier federal engagements. You will be responsible for the collection, exploration, processing, and analysis of raw data to identify trends, correlations, and patterns that accelerate data-driven decision making.  Candidates must be able to work closely with senior leadership and cross-discipline delivery team to drive the project from discovery to final delivery to external stakeholders.  

 

Our team advises on strategic technical architecture and operational activities, directs on IT service management and program governance, and leads the program metric analysis and insights to improve and inform on service capabilities via quantitative performance measures and qualitative feedback.

 

You will report to the VP of Client Services and be an instrumental member of the cross-discipline team on the engagement.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Work with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and monitor key metrics and opportunities for improving business processes, products, and services
  • Scope, plan, and execute the data aspects of a project and self-manage workload across multiple workstreams using agile methodologies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of systems, processes, and data to go beyond what the customer asks for and deliver what they need.
  • Mine, collect, cleanse, and analyze data using tools, languages, and statistical methods for quantitative analysis.
  • Interpret and present data, KPIs, and findings clearly to internal and client leadership using dashboards, presentations, or other formats.

 

Who You Are

  • A US Citizen and possess a Secret Security Clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
  • 10+ years of professional consulting experience within analytics, research, or similar field.
  • BA/BS or higher in quantitative or engineering field.
  • Experience working on a U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, or other government program.
  • Analytical thinker and strong problem solver with ability to develop a deep understanding of complex systems and processes then relate analysis back to needs of stakeholder and customer.
  • Compelling data storyteller with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms with a proven track record of delivering actionable analyses to drive business impact.  Present and defend data and insights effectively to high-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the following:
  • Statistical analysis in Python, R, Scala, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Data manipulation using Tableau Prep, Databricks, Spark, SQL, Hive, Pig or equivalent.
  • Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Plotly, or equivalent.
  • Data platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or equivalent.
  • Statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing or related techniques to solve problems and predict outcomes.
