Job Description
Isobar Director of Experience role is responsible for guiding and supporting the Isobar live experiential business and overseeing a production & account team across its live virtual events and experiences. The Director of Experience has strategic understanding and tactical expertise of virtual consumer facing brand experiences. The right individual possesses dynamic leadership skills, the ability to develop and mentor a team of producers and/or account members and make sound business decisions.
Director of Experience leads a cross channel team, guides multiple departments and partner agencies, and functions as a strategic business partner to key client stakeholders, to ensure the experience exceeds high standards of excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the GM Live studio
- Ensure daily execution of the platform experience (1:1, 1:Group, 1:Many & VR sessions)
- Interface internally and externally at the executive level
- Develop and maintain client relationships and function as a strategic business partner to key client stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership to guide long-term strategic perspective for brand and business growth
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and a passion for our organization and the client’s industry
- Facilitate effective project team and cross-functional interactions
- Serve as escalation point for all client and project issues
- Develop, retain and motivate production team and ensure actionable steps are taken in succession planning
- Ensure that Studio Production team is armed with in studio best practices and simplified processes, and ongoing updates to production playbooks (all shift run of shows)
- Ensure team is trained and adhering to established and managed operating procedures, and live virtual-event protocols
- Oversee Production team scheduling, ensuring proper coverage across brands with team members for all Mon-Sun shifts, weekends and holidays
- Assign specific tasks across Production Team handling critical daily operations; staffing, equipment master, verbatim tracking across each brand, 1:Group metrics across each brand
- Provide continuous and constructive feedback to direct reports; conduct performance reviews
- Lead weekly communications with studio team
- Ensure each Live platform is performing and achieving program KPIs as seen on daily reports
- Provide ongoing quantitative and qualitative insights / feedback to client stakeholders
- Develop and implement process and timelines for event launches, virtual activations, supporting documentation and approvals
Organizational Purpose:
- Oversee all platform executional processes across all touchpoints including both agency and outside vendor groups
- Work in conjunction with VP, Account Management for the client relationship
- Regularly work on-site to carefully monitor and evaluate the program
- Lead regularly scheduled status meetings with Isobar & client(s)
- Work closely with operations, talent, data, and tech teams, to ensure systems and guidelines for event management, trainings, debriefings and budget maintenance are followed
- Interface regularly with direct reports to provide status updates, production and operations guidance and leadership
- Facilitate an effective flow of communication with relevant stakeholders
Financial Responsibility:
- Forecast and reconcile passthrough budget(s)
- Partner with VP, Client Services to review client & program budgets including creating, tracking, billing, reporting and client approvals
- Review and ensure RD budgets and expense reports / submitted timely and within parameters provided by finance/client
Management Responsibility:
- Reports to Head of Production
- Direct reports – Production Manager, Senior Producer(s)
- Collaborates with central planning, operations, talent, data, and tech teams
- Ensure direct reports follow policies and procedures established
- Responsible for leading the hiring team for new full or part time employees
Outputs:
- Evaluate effectiveness of current activation(s)
- Meet regularly with client stakeholders and dentsu teams
- Ensure that personnel are trained on systems, processes and adhere to policies and procedures
- Provide qualitative feedback to Isobar Central teams, and client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Consumer marketing and/or relevant agency experience
- Experience producing experiential / oversee (live) event projects within a marketing, client account management, and or communications environment
- Team leader mentality with superior management and organization prowess is a must
- Comprehensive understanding of the pulse of experiential industry
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Aptitude to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client
- Excellent presentation and effective training experience
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Keynote and Outlook
