Job Description
The Paralegal, Employment Law will be a critical part of dentsu’s Legal team in the Americas performing a wide range of support to ensure best practices and dentsu’s compliance with various federal, state and local employment laws. This position will require a driven individual, looking for a fast-paced dynamic and challenging work environment. The Paralegal, Employment Law will work closely with our in-house Employment Counsel and with various individuals across the business ranging from Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Recruiting, Finance, Technology, Payroll and others. This role will strive to provide a supportive and streamlined experience to our HR leaders and business stakeholders in close alignment with dentsu’s core values with an eye toward consistency, compliance, and sound change management.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Support employment team operations through existing processes, policies, and platforms to provide consistency across dentsu and create new processes when necessary;
- Communicate, correspond and interact with internal clients and stakeholders and outside counsel to gather relevant information or data;
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and storage of employment related documents;
- Track both team and cross-functional projects and manage related workstreams to execute against project plans and deadlines;
- Analyze data related to employment projects;
- Assist with implementation of new or pending legislation and support any related compliance initiatives and support any litigation related matters;
- Maintain budgets and ensure timely payment of external invoices using company’s accounting platform;
- Take on both day-to-day and big picture initiatives to improve operation of the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Interest in Legal or HR
- Strong implication-thinking skills and strategic problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Background in employment law is a plus.

- Strategic thinking with an ability to leverage business sense, problem-solving skills and sense of prioritization when resolving issues
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with proven success establishing collaborative relationships with individuals at all levels and in all parts of the organization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively toward mutual objectives
- Clear and precise oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in an open, dynamic, fast-paced environment
