Job Description
We are looking for a strong leader to play a key role in developing and managing influencer marketing engagements for multiple clients at dentsu.
Our ideal candidate will bring a combination of experienced account leadership, influencer strategy, content planning, mentorship, and vision within the ever-evolving social influencer space. This role will report directly to the Group Account Director, Influencer Marketing. As Director of Influencer Marketing, you will:
- Oversee and provide direction on end-to-end influencer marketing campaigns
- Be a key driver of one or more influencer marketing team client accounts, partnering with them to deliver strategic thinking and excellent service that helps their businesses grow
- Manage daily workflow and serve as a senior strategic point of contact for clients, ensuring that each campaign performs well against campaign objectives
- Work directly with a cross-functional team to deliver our end-to-end solution (account, insights, influencer, paid media, measurement/reporting)
- Identify areas of opportunity/organic growth within existing account base through assessment of program performance, consumer insights and feedback, and regular dialogue with clients
- Support new business development through participation in brainstorms, sales operations, and budgeting exercises
- Assist with talent database development and management (identification, briefing, contract negotiations, etc.)
- Commit to remaining up-to-date regarding current benchmarks and social audience/platform trends
- Team without limits as you interact with individuals across our global network, maintaining a positive energy to support strong team morale and agency culture
- Mentor team members and provide professional development paths for them
Qualifications
- 7+ years professional experience (ideally agency)
- 4+ years account lead experience who can maintain positive relationships, deliver strategic council, and successfully troubleshoots client and internal issues
- 4+ years in the social/digital space as well as influencer marketing
- 2+ years supervising and training employees with the ability to bring out the best in agency talent to produce great work for clients
- Passionate follower of influencers, pop culture and insights/trends
- Knowledge of influencer marketing platforms as well as key performance metrics for paid/earned/owned media and analytics
- Ability to gather client requirements and effectively translate them into a cohesive influencer strategy comprised of earned, owned and paid content
- A balance of working collaboratively with a forward-thinking team as well as the drive to work independently without oversight
