Job Description

Do you geek out over science fiction, horror, and fantasy have an obsession with TV & movies, and have a deep knowledge of social media?  We are seeking a seasoned Account Supervisor to lead the relationship with a network entertainment client, overseeing their social marketing strategy and content creation. You will be the primary day-to-day interface with the clients, working with a cross-functional team of experts to deliver best-in-class social for a storied brand.  

We are seeking someone who can foster a positive, productive and trustworthy relationship with both the client and the internal team. This role will report into an Account Director, however will be given the autonomy and trust to manage agency resources to achieve and exceed campaign and business objectives. As the Account Supervisor, you will:

  • Collaborate with Social Strategy team to build and present creative briefs based on client priorities.
  • Partner closely with the client to support their business and revenue growth (i.e., working with client’s ad sales team to generate new sellable social media marketing opportunities for sales partners).
  • Act as gatekeeper in identifying red flags and recommending insightful solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Contribute to and/or develop scopes of work, quarterly business reviews, and/or account reviews.
  • Lead majority of client communications, set expectations, and run quality of deliverables to deadline.
  • Collaborate with Social Strategy to develop & present recommendations & POVs that drive innovation for the business.
  • Orchestrate client budget management, billing processes, and assists with forecasting.
  • Work closely with social strategy, creative and project management to deliver best in class work

Qualifications

You have:

  • Passion for and knowledge of science fiction, horror, and fantasy- and be proud to let your geek flag fly!
  • Keen understanding of entertainment sector, including general business goals and challenges, as well as competitive landscape 
  • An understanding of how to operate and manage a cross-functional social media team, who will build the social strategy for key entertainment campaigns, and will also own content creation and scheduling, community management, responsive messaging, and lastly, campaign reporting and optimizations.
  • An ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, delivering business-based marketing with exceptional client happiness.
  • A persuasiveness in storytelling who can work with/present to any client.
  • A conviction to act judiciously when making decisions for the client and the team.
  • An example-led work style and demonstrate effective communication and active listening.
  • The desire to tackle challenges head on while keeping and encouraging a positive and supportive team culture
  • 4+ years managing a team with direct reports, providing support for day-to-day tasks  as well as long term career growth
  • 5+ years’ managing client relationships
  • 2+ years experience within entertainment industry, plus hands-on digital/social media marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
