Job Description

Crown is seeking Training Specialists who will be responsible for the development, delivery, and conduct of training maintenance staff in maintaining newly deployed Voice over IP systems. In collaboration with the program’s technical staff and other subject matter experts, the Training Specialists develop the training course materials including but not limited to: learning/configuration guides and hand-outs; PowerPoint presentations; lab workbooks;; and certification exams and their accompanying aids. The Training Specialist will be required to deliver Instructor Led training courses in-person and must be able to travel to government facilities for course conduct.

It is expected that some percentage of work time may be performed from home but not guaranteed.

Experience in training development, web-based course development, and instructor led training delivery is required.

This position will be located on site in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Support all activites in the Training Development Plan
  • Performing task and skills analyses of the maintenance personnel to be trained on maintaining new Voice over IP equipment
  • Become proficient in software applications related to monitoring and maintaining voice communication systems in order to develop training content and deliver training courses.
  • Contributing to the development of Web Based Training courses following completion of Instructor Led training course content.
  • Ensuring that all assigned training deliverables meet contractual requirements
  • Monitoring, evaluating and documenting training activities and training program effectiveness
  • Perform research and write professional documents, including contributing to the development of maintenance manuals used in training
  • Read and analyze technical materials and create presentations of that information including drawings, user manuals, presentations, or training documents
  • Interact with the program’s management, technical staff and Subject Matter Experts and be capable of distilling and conveying technical information into training deliverables

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 10-14 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree and 1-4 years of related experience;
  • Experience in training development, ability to learn Web-based course development
  • Familiarity with the ADDIE model for instructional course development
  • Instructor led training delivery is required at government facilities that require a public trust clearance
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio are required
  • Must be a US citizen for access to government facilities
  • Articulate 360 Story experience is desired 
  • Technical writing experience is required  for technical training content creation
  • Familiarity with Voice over IP systems or the ED-137 standard is a plus
