Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Lead to run and continuously strengthen our Transformation Control Tower — the central “engine room” that keeps our company-wide transformation aligned, coordinated, and moving forward with real impact.

This role is fully focused on transformation. Your mandate is to create clarity, drive governance discipline, surface risks early, and ensure that initiatives across the business connect into one coherent portfolio with clear priorities, ownership, and outcomes.

A key ambition behind this hire is to internalise capabilities currently supported externally (e.g., by BCG over time) and build sustainable transformation “muscle” inside zooplus.

You will operate at the heart of our most important priorities with direct exposure to the CEO and ExCo — and influence across functions without formal line authority.

What you will do (Key Responsibilities)

1) Run the Transformation Control Tower (central hub across initiatives)

  • Establish and operate a centralised Transformation Control Tower across all key initiatives and workstreams, acting as the connective tissue across ExCo areas (not just one function).
  • Build a strong operating cadence that keeps the portfolio “alive” — not static reporting. You will proactively identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints before they become delivery issues.
  • Drive consistent standards and transparency: initiative charters, milestone logic, value hypotheses, dependencies, and decision needs — so leaders can make fast, high-quality calls.
  • Ensure alignment across workstreams, avoid conflicts, and enable a single source of truth on delivery status, risks, and value realisation.

2) Orchestrate governance & decision-making forums (especially Ops Committee)

  • Coordinate and run the Ops Committee rhythm seamlessly (agenda, pre-reads, decision framing, action tracking, follow-ups).
  • Design and operate governance forums (SteerCos) that enable real decisions, trade-offs, and accountability — not “status theatre.”
  • Prepare integrated, decision-oriented views for the CEO/ExCo: progress, risks, dependencies, resourcing pressure points, and where leadership intervention is required.

3) Portfolio performance management (OKRs, KPIs, value realisation)

  • Implement and operate a robust OKR/KPI framework to drive accountability and behaviour change — not just reporting.
  • Support enterprise prioritisation, trade-off discussions, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
  • Strengthen value realisation discipline (in partnership with initiative owners and Finance where relevant): clarify the “why,” track outcomes, and highlight gaps early.

Transformation priorities you will orchestrate

You will operate across the enterprise portfolio, with an initial focus on these priority themes:

  • Marketing
  • Price & Promotion
  • Ecosystem build-up / expansion
  • Value proposition

In the first 12 months, success looks like:

  • A fully functioning Transformation Control Tower that leadership trusts as the reliable source of truth and decision support.
  • A seamless, high-quality Ops Committee cadence (preparation → decisions → follow-through) that improves execution speed and reduces rework.
  • A robust OKR and governance framework that is embedded and running — used to drive accountability and outcomes, not just track activity.

After ~6 months:

  • You are deeply “glued into” the stakeholder landscape (trusted relationships across CEO/ExCo/Ops Committee/lever owners).
  • There is visible process and “muscle” around the Control Tower: clearer priorities, stronger governance, earlier escalation, better follow-through.
  • You are an absolute team player who strengthens the existing team dynamic and creates momentum through collaboration.

Qualifications

You will deliver impact through:

  • Influence, coordination, and enablement
  • Credibility, structure, clarity, and trust
  • Constructive challenge, decision framing, and disciplined follow-through

Your effectiveness will come from stakeholder trust and your ability to make complex cross-functional work feel manageable, aligned, and actionable.

What we’re looking for (Skills & Capabilities)

  • Structured thinking and the ability to simplify complex problems into actionable paths.
  • Strong program / portfolio management and execution discipline with a value-creation mindset.
  • Confident engaging on strategy, operations, and financial implications (you don’t need to be a CFO, but you must be commercially sharp).
  • Executive-level communication: concise, clear, and decision-oriented.
  • High EQ and stakeholder leadership: able to challenge constructively, build trust, and navigate competing priorities.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and able to switch between strategic framing and hands-on execution.
  • Role-models zooplus values: Simplicity, Courage, Openness, Care.

Background & Experience

  • ~8–12+ years in transformation, strategy execution, consulting, PMO, or equivalent high-impact roles.
  • Proven track record driving cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience building governance routines that enable decisions, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Fluency in English is required.

We welcome internal candidates from different backgrounds, if you’ve been the person who brings structure, clarity, cadence, and stakeholder alignment to complex cross-functional work, we want to hear from you.

What’s in it for you (Why this is a great internal move)

  • Work at the centre of zooplus’ most strategic priorities with direct exposure to CEO & ExCo.
  • Build a transformation capability that becomes embedded and scalable across the company.
  • Expand your enterprise network across all ExCo areas and strategy levers.
  • High autonomy, high trust, high visibility — a true multiplier role at Level 9.
