What can you expect:
- Support the Senior Vendor Manager in the development, implementation and controlling of a product range strategy for the responsible area
- Undertaking continuous product lifecycle management to optimize the ranges in the area of responsibility.
- Continuous performance analyses of the product assortment following the relevant KPIs, developing concrete actions to improve the article performance as well as implementation and controlling of the actions.
- Assistance in supplier meetings and negotiation and partly independent management of supplier meetings according to agreement with the principal
- Assistance in supplier negotiations and annual talk of supplier funded promotions and usage of promotion budget with the suppliers.
- Cross functional networking with Sales team, Replenishment, Supply Chain Development and Master data to ensure an efficient assortment management along the whole product lifecycle.
- Project management for the own area of responsibility as well as intra-functional projects.
Qualifications
- University degree in economics with a focus on marketing or business administration including 1-2 years work experience in the area of Purchasing, Category Management and/or Product Management
- Intercultural competence, ideally working experience through internships/ semester abroad
- High e-commerce affinity with a very good retail understanding
- First experience in project work based on analytical and strategic thinking and ability to structure complex facts
- Ability to understand customer needs and market requirements as well as intuitive feeling for brands and trends
- First experience in communication with suppliers and business partners as well as corresponding assertiveness, communication skills and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver and implement quickly, open to iterative learning
- Passion for big data analysis as well as proficient MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
- Excellent verbal and written English skills. Additional languages skills are an advantage.
