Job Description
As an Engineering Manager, you work with the Product Team (round 6 Software Engineers and Product Owner). Product Teams are grouped in a department called Source and Supply. Building on your experience of delivering software products and leading people, you coach your team on how to optimize a team’s effectiveness. You are assisting individuals in building a strategy for their personal development and supporting them in the execution.

- You take ownership of ensuring the successful delivery of our Product Team's commitments, by setting clear goals and expectations.
- You have a strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of technical excellence by emphasizing best practices and industry trends.
- You create an inspiring environment with an open communication culture and an outstanding way of collaboration throughout the whole zooplus.
- You ensure that your teams are in line with zooplus's business and technology strategy, operating models, and guidelines.
- You contribute to the development of general strategic guidelines, organizational & technical frameworks, and the corresponding processes.
- You support your teams as an agile driver & coach of the software delivery process.
- You are responsible for growing qualified and motivated people in your teams to meet business & tech expectations.
- You actively participate in the recruitment and retention process, ensuring a healthy composition of the Product Team.
- You work with the Domain Engineering Manager to monitoring and optimize budget costs related to product expenses, such as AWS, licenses, externals, and personnel costs
Qualifications
- Not less than 8 years of overall experience in Software Development.
- Strong software engineering & design fundamentals with good hands-on design
- Experience in people management / leading team.
- Expertise in agile methodologies /practices.
- Experience of working in an internationally distributed environment.
