Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Strategy:

Define and execute engineering strategy for your domains in collaboration with Product Management and Architecture leadership. Ensure scalability, resilience, and maintainability of applications while overseeing software delivery lifecycle processes.

People & Organizational Leadership:

Directly manage Engineering Managers, mentoring them on leadership skills. Foster an open culture emphasizing transparency, growth mindset, and continuous learning.

Delivery & Operational Excellence:

Take accountability for timely delivery of domain commitments meeting quality standards. Manage domain budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure efficient resource allocation across distributed teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Foster effective cross-domain communication and collaborate closely with the Engineering Director to align departmental engineering strategy with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years managing multiple engineering teams/managers
• Expertise in retail/e-commerce domains (e.g., Inbound Logistics, Inventory Management, Order Management Systems)
• Strong system architecture/design skills and track record of delivering complex software projects in Agile environments
• Proven ability to manage geographically distributed teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at senior levels
• Solid understanding of modern engineering practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps)
• Experience with key technologies (AWS, Java, React) and ERP solutions (e.g., SAP) preferred
