One of our team is heading off on their parental leave journey creating an opportunity for a skilled Hoa Umanga Haumaru, Oranga, Tūraru Safety, Wellbeing & Risk Business Partner to join the Z whānau in a fixed term role from January to August 2025.
Partnering with a range of Business Units you will continue with the mahi that is embedded at Z, ensuring that the culture, capability and systems required to understand the risks that we choose to take and the ways that those risks are managed are in line with Z’s organisational risk management system, legal obligations, and good practice.

You will have the opportunity to:
- Create partnerships with Business Units to ensure the requirements of our risk management system (ZORM) are understood and implemented
- Coach and build capability to ensure the requirements of these systems and obligations are met
- Facilitate cyclical activities around risk reviews, incidents and change management
- Conduct and act on learning processes when opportunities for improvement are identified
- Operate as a visible safety leader and subject matter expert, championing safe practices at Z
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
- Experience in a senior Health Safety or Risk role ideally in a complex commercial and/or operational environment
- Conversant with relevant legislation and best practice for operational risk management practice
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex issues and recommendations to a range of stakeholders
- A coach and mentor to build systems and capability that reduce risk while supporting through change (organisational/system/employee)
- Experience driving cultural change in operational businesses with knowledge of building and executing on business plans
- Exposure to risk management systems

The base salary range for this role is $151,725 - $178,500 per annum pro-rata, we also offer a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
