Job Description

  • Work with R&D for New Product Introduction Projects during and after each development stage.
  • Assist sourcing/material groups to find, test and qualify new or alternative components.
  • Work in conjunction with R&D in testing and qualification of alternate EOL components.
  • Manage factory component qualification group
  • Coordinate with R&D for resolving testing and design issues on products.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective action in case of any design failure.
  • Compile failure analysis report for giving feedback to supplier / R&D for appropriate actions.
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using quality tools or similar techniques.
  • Provide engineering support for all activities in testing products in factory.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and trial run of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
  • Analyse and recommend improvements to all production process and methods to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement regarding to testing and manufacturing.
  • Train and develop technicians and troubleshooters to perform job correctly and on time.
  • Work with test equipment suppliers on proper maintenance and upgrade of software/firmware.
  • Identify latest technology and technique on power supply testing method.

Qualifications

  • University degree or higher in a relevant engineering or science base discipline.
  • Experience of the design and implementation of automated test systems, tool/jig for supporting test.
  • Experience creating tests for a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Experience in working as R&D, Debug Engineer, Test Engineer
  • Experience in setting up of Programs / fixture setup and/or modify / improve test program and be able make failure analysis (FA) report.
  • Experience in maintaining test equipment / fixture.
  • Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role.
  • Technical background and an understanding of the power supply industry.
  • A creative and considered approach to problem solving.
  • Good organisational skills, able to handle a broad and complex workload.
  • Clear, logical thought and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Works well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in troubleshooting PCBA & using meters / equipment for measuring PCBA.
