    Job Description

    As Assistant Banquet Setup Manager your role will include: 

    • The Assistant Banquet Setup Manager is responsible assisting the setup manager, including scheduling and training all Banquet Setup employees. 
    • Additional responsibilities include setting and supplies as necessary to support catering and convention business, reviewing all banquet functions and the Delphi diary to determine and avoid all possible conflicts. 
    • Assist Catering Managers in planning details of event setup, preparing banquet floor plans to meet Fire Marshall guidelines communicating with individual Catering Managers and Banquet Captains regarding any setup issues on particular events, directing and managing the Fire Marshall Fund account, and any other duties as determined by the Director of Catering, Setup Manager & Sr. Assistant Setup Manager. 
    • Responsible for day to day operations on the convention floor, including managing of work force and taking necessary disciplinary action. Maintaining accurate time records and payroll.

    Qualifications

    • Requires the ability to work a varied schedule.
    • Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and in a professional manner. 2nd language a plus.
    • Requires a minimum of two years experience as an assistant setup manager at a high end/high volume property.
    • Candidates must exhibit basic computer knowledge (including MS Office, Opera & POS), leadership and organizational skills.
    • Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
    • Requires a valid Nevada Health card.
    • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
