The role you are looking at is a part of Wolt Market - our very own grocery stores that deliver unprecedented convenience and a world leading customer experience. People across our markets can order their groceries and have them delivered to their doorsteps in 30 minutes or less.
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the construction of Wolt Market stores across Germany. In this critical role, you will be defining and implementing project management tools and best practices to ensure a fast and efficient launch of Wolt Markets. As the Construction Project Manager, you will have full ownership of the construction of Wolt Market stores, from signed lease to the handover to operations. Your main goal will be to deliver the finished Wolt Market in a fast and cost efficient way. This role requires coordination between multiple stakeholders with competing priorities - your job will be to bring everyone together and find a path forward.
In this role, you’ll get a lot of help and support on the way, but are also expected to be an amazing independent leader with an exceptional ability to execute every single day.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading construction projects for Wolt Markets across Germany.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinating between Wolt Real Estate Managers, Wolt Operations and other stakeholders, such as the general contractor, architect, landlord etc.
- Managing project schedules, budgets and risk, and escalating when necessary.
- Visiting sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction project management in retail or grocery settings.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and lease documents.
- You are highly organized with experience in managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Experience in defining and implementing new processes.
- Ability to think ahead, identify and solve problems and come up with alternate solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The successful candidate must be a self-starter and thrive in a high energy environment.
- Full professional proficiency in German and English.
