Job Description
Wolt is looking for an Internal Events & Community Manager to join our Product+ organization. In this role you will be focused in ideating and executing internal events and community building activities for our Product+ people; this means engineers, product managers, designers, analysts and other product development professionals. You’ll be the heart and soul of our internal events, where we come together to learn, teach, network and be merry! The role requires good understanding of what people want and need in order to feel connected; the ability to invent as well as exquisite organizational skills.
We already run a series of exciting events for our tech folks, such as Wolt Hackathons, monthly Product Hour internal learning sessions and an annual Product Week event that gathers all our global tech folks in one place to get to know each other and learn about key topics in our product development space. In this role, you'll get to own these and ideate more events, enabling our teams to connect with and learn from one another. If you’re curious, you can get to know some of our event formats through our blog, for example what happens at the Wolt hackathon.
Your duties will include among others:
- Build an events strategy - strategically look at our internal tech events, build a calendar for how we should manage those and how we can make the most of every opportunity, taking into account our international business and distributed teams
- Hands-on event execution - bringing to life the events from concept to execution - e.g. building the project teams, identifying content opportunities, speaker prep, measuring success of events, dealing with logistics and arrangements
- Internal community building - ideate how we can make the most of every event and build our internal tech community at Wolt
- Driving engagement - involving the right teams and stakeholders as needed, ideating with tech teams, making sure our people are dedicated, engaged and involved in the events
- Managing budgets, measuring success of the events
- Owning annual event calendar, such as monthly rolling internal tech events, but also larger scale productions such as hackathons and offsites for the tech audience.
- Work closely together with partner teams, such as communications, office mgmt, employer branding.
📍This role is based from our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland. You can choose to work part of the time from home if desired.
Qualifications
This role might be perfect for you if you have:
- been responsible for large scale event organizing
- dealt with event budgets and measuring ROI on events
- the desire to work with end-to-end event execution
- hands-on experience in dealing with budgets, logistics, vendors, collaborating with branding/marketing, concepting events, speaker prep etc. relating to event organization.
- great communication skills - both in written and spoken in English
- no issue juggling overlapping tasks, while paying attention to detail and quality
- like a creative challenge; we need someone who can innovate how we can build engaging event and employee engagement opportunities
- some exposure or experience in the tech industr
Additional Information
The application period will be open until November 5th. After this we will start the interviewing process, which will include 3-4 interview stages and a practical home assignment to show your skills relevant for the role.
The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you’ll own a piece of the pie.
