Job Description

Role Background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners, and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners. Just 2 years ago, Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 23 countries and over 100 cities across EMEA, servicing over 5M registered users.
 
Our journey within Israel started in the fall of 2018. Since then, we’ve launched in 15 cities and the country has become one of our fastest-growing ‘Woltwide’.

Due to our increased growth, we're now looking for a Courier Partner Lead to join our Operations team in Tel Aviv.  You’ll be acting as a key factor in providing live and ad-hoc Courier Partner quality control, as well as overseeing general Courier Partner performance. You’ll be leading a team of Operations Associates who are all in charge of our courier supply’s quality control and well-being. You’ll also be responsible for helping to maintain a high level of standards amongst our courier fleet, and will help to optimize processes.
 
By taking ownership of all escalated incidents with Courier Partners, as well as building up your knowledge base to ‘oracle’ like status, you’ll be seen as the ‘go-to’ person amongst your colleagues for all Courier Partner related queries.
 
In our Operations team life moves fast and there is no typical day, so to be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, confident and creative, possess leadership characteristics, and have excellent relationship building skills.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and managing a team of Operations Associates who work on a part-time basis
  • Overseeing Courier Partners’ performance and quality of service
  • Daily communicating with our Courier Partners - answering their questions, helping with formalities, proactive communication of news or changes
  • Leading and managing off-boarding stages
  • Work side by side with our Support team to better understand and facilitate all Courier Partner related topics
  • Making sure all our Courier Partners are happy and satisfied with their cooperation with Wolt
  • Promoting events and cooperations which will promote and benefit the Courier Partner community
  • Helping to optimize the Courier Partner app
  • Drilling into data

Qualifications

  • Preferably a background in Operations Management / Support Management
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to show the direction, as well as genuine will to support your team members and your Courier Partners on their way
  • Excellent communicator and big team motivator as you will have daily contact with our Courier Partners
  • You are a fast learner and attentive to both small details and the bigger picture
  • You’re an expert when it comes to handling crowds and you are confident in expressing your social skills - good with presentations and public speaking
  • Thorough and organized - you accomplish tasks with all ends tied and have great attention to detail
  • Proactive planner and thorough thinker as you constantly seek new ways to improve processes
  • You have a can-do attitude and are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Fluent in Hebrew and able to work in English
