Job Description
We are currently looking for a Simulation Engineer to join our Systems Engineering department. The successful candidate will be right at the heart of the design process, collaborating closely with designers to help create and operate the most performant systems that run on track at each event.
As a Simulation Engineer you will be:
Supporting the simulation of a variety of car components to boost performance and reliability. These systems could be:
Hydraulics system
Cooling system
Brake system
Mechanical components
Multibody mechanical components
Fuel System
Analysing existing components to aid understanding or improve design.
Liaising with other departments to assist in the design process.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
Previous experience in the simulation of mechanical/hydraulic/cooling/multibody systems.
Prior experience in a motorsport or automotive environment.
Degree in an Engineering related subject or relevant transferable experience.
Good knowledge of MathWorks MATLAB and Simulink tools.
Knowledge of SimScape or an alternative physical modelling environment would be desirable.
A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively under pressure within the group.
A high attention to detail coupled with an exceptional attention to detail is essential.
The ability to work with an open and flexible approach, great organisational skills with the ability prioritise tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Great communication skills both verbally and graphically to help communicate throughout the design process.
