Job Description

We have some exciting projects on the horizon, and we’re looking for Molding Technicians to join the team for a 4-6 month contract (depending on the project timelines).

Our technicians apply a range of crafting skills to create products at a high, accurate and consistent standard in a collaborative work environment.

What you'll do:

  •  Create silicon, plaster and fibreglass molds from 3D printed and handcrafted pieces - including multipart molds for complex shapes and undercuts
  • Manufacture prop & set piece molds for production replication
  • Quality control, testing and repairs
  • Collaborate with other members of the wider workshop  crew  to ensure we deliver on the client's briefs

We're looking for people with:

  • A strong range of hand/machine crafting abilities, and knowledge of product creation - and ideally 3 years of experience in mold making, fibreglassing and urethane casting
  • Experience working safely with chemicals
  • Great time management and attention to detail to ensure a quality product is delivered on time
  • The ability to communicate effectively

Additional Information:

  • These roles are fixed term, for four to six months (based on our expected timelines for our upcoming projects) and are Wellington-based (Miramar).
  • The pay rate for these roles is $30.84 to $37.70 per hour, depending on experience.
  • These roles are full-time (42.5 hours per week)
