Our Prosthetics team has brought countless characters to life, and now we’re gearing up for what’s next. We’re looking for passionate creatives makers ready to join us for our next generation of exciting projects.

We have some exciting new projects on the horizon, and are looking for two Hair Technicians to join the crew for a 6 month fixed-term contract.

Our Hair Technicians:

• Carry out fabrication tasks including hair punching, knotting, blending, or similar work depending on discipline. Carry out fabrication tasks including hair punching, knotting, blending under guidance.  
• Follow creative and technical direction to deliver accurate and consistent builds. 
• Prepare materials, colour mixes, fibres, tools, and molds for efficient production. Prepare fibres, dyes, adhesives, and hairpieces under guidance.
• Assist with the process of fur transfer, fur laying, fur glueing etc.
• Identify and resolve straightforward technical issues within established methods. 
• Maintain consistent output quality, accuracy, and repeatability. 

You’ll have

• 3+ years relevant experience, including solid hands-on skills working with hair, and the ability to follow briefs and technical notes accurately. 
• Strong attention to detail and quality control. 
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines. 
• Problem-solving skills

You’ll be a strong communicator and be able to collaborate well with others – and have a great eye for detail.

• These roles are fixed term, for 6 months (based on our expected timelines for our upcoming projects) and are Wellington-based (Miramar).
• The pay rate for these roles is $30 to $38 per hour, depending on experience.
• These roles are full-time (42.5 hours per week)
