Job Description

Westgate Resorts is seeking an experienced and motivated Pool Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of all resort pools, spas, and aquatic facilities. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring all aquatic amenities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence while delivering an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of commercial pool systems, water chemistry, preventative maintenance, and health department regulations, while also demonstrating the leadership skills necessary to develop, coach, and support a high-performing team.

As a Pool Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all resort pools and aquatic facilities
  • Maintain proper water chemistry through routine testing and chemical adjustments in accordance with state and local health department regulations
  • Ensure all pools consistently meet safety, sanitation, and operational standards
  • Monitor and maintain pool filtration systems, pumps, motors, heaters, chemical feeders, chlorination systems, and related equipment
  • Perform routine inspections of pool equipment and coordinate repairs or preventative maintenance as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of water quality testing, maintenance activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when appropriate
  • Coordinate with Engineering and outside vendors for major repairs and equipment replacements
  • Conduct daily inspections of pools, pool decks, fencing, lighting, signage, furniture, and surrounding recreational areas to identify and correct safety concerns
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, equipment failures, and guest concerns while following established safety procedures
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the resort, amenities, and recreational offerings to effectively assist guests

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • ​​​​​​Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification Required
  • Aquatics Facilitator Operator (AFO) Preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience in hospitality, resort, hotel, waterpark, or commercial aquatic facility operations
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
