Job Description
As the Chief Engineer at Westgate Resorts, you will be the driving force behind the resort's engineering and maintenance operations. With your extensive technical expertise and leadership acumen, you will oversee the Engineering department, ensuring the highest standards of excellence, safety, and guest satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to providing exceptional vacation experiences. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices. As well as:
- Plans and formulates engineering programs and organizes project staff according to project requirements.
- Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Directs the integration of technical activities and products.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Controls expenditures within the limitations of the project budget.
- Prepares interim and completion project reports.
- Other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.

Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma, Bachelors, or Associate’s in a maintenance related field.
- Must have valid Driver’s license from the State where job is located.
- Preferably licensed or certified in the major trades; refrigeration, plumbing or electrical.
- OSHA Safety Certification preferred.
