Job Description

The Service Writer works with customers to document vehicle problems and schedule automotive repair service with the service team. The Service Writer is needed to do the following task but not limited to the following task:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Procure parts needed for repairs and enter all information into Fleet database for accurate billing.
  • Answer incoming service calls
  • Maintain and schedule service appointments
  • Track repair status and update customers
  • Run errands as necessary (picking up parts, dropping off materials, transporting vehicles)
  • Deliver parts and run errands for mechanics, as directed
  • Maintain other duties as directed by the foremen & mechanics
  • Picking up and dropping off clients as needed
  • Interact with clients and/or visitors in a professional, courteous, and problem-solving manner
  • Assist with the upkeep of the inventory system in place
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and efficiently complete tasks to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid & Current FL Driver’s License & Clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Previous automotive service advisor experience heavily preferred.
  • Ability to understand and relate technical issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong record keeping

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Minimum of one year experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Regestrations

  • Valid Driver’s license.
