  • Full-time, fixed term position (9 months) at HEW Level 4.
  • Hawkesbury (Richmond) campus, with flexible working arrangements.
  • $79,542 – $84,683 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Deliver seamless, on-brand events that enhance the Western experience.

The Opportunity
As an Events Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of events run by the Office of Future Students, Marketing and Communications. Working with the Events team, you will contribute to activities that showcase Western’s brand, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and enhance engagement across the University.

Your work will span event logistics, documentation, scheduling, stakeholder liaison and general administrative support. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Marketing team to ensure all information, assets and tasks are delivered accurately and on time. You will also support interactions with external service providers, ensuring a professional, coordinated experience for all stakeholders across each event cycle.

This is a role for someone who enjoys organisation, communication and coordination. Your strong time management skills and attention to detail will underpin high-quality event execution, helping ensure every event reflects Western’s standards and purpose.

What Success Looks Like

  • Provide efficient administrative and coordination support, including preparing event documentation and reports.
  • Ensure event logistics and program activities are delivered on time and in line with Western’s brand standards.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Marketing units to supply required information and assets.
  • Maintain professional stakeholder engagement when responding to enquiries or coordinating tasks.
  • Manage inventory, invoices and general correspondence effectively.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in events, marketing, communications or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience supporting event delivery or marketing activities.
