The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking two Talent Coordinators to join the Talent Acquisition team on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis. One position is available for a six‑month term, and the second position is available for a ten‑month term. Both roles will be based at the Hawkesbury campus, with flexibility to work from other campuses and from home.
In this role, you will provide hands-on coordination and operational support across the final stages of the recruitment lifecycle. You will work closely with Talent Partners, Senior Talent Partners and hiring managers to ensure candidates progress smoothly from interview through to onboarding, while maintaining compliance, accuracy and a positive candidate experience.
The role has two primary focus areas. A core component of the role (approximately 70%) involves supporting the recruitment pipeline, including arranging interviews, supporting and training end‑users to effectively use the applicant tracking system (ATS), coordinating reference and pre‑employment checks, and transitioning candidates through to onboarding. The role also provides day‑to‑day operational support to the Talent Partners and Senior Talent Partners, including overseeing the shared team inbox and responding to a wide range of ad hoc enquiries. The remaining component of the role (approximately 30%) oversees the end‑to‑end processing of academic honorary appointments, including offers and onboarding activities.
What Success Looks Like
- Interviews and assessments are scheduled accurately and efficiently across multiple portfolios.
- Honorary offers and onboarding activities are managed in line with University processes and timelines.
- Hiring managers and end-users are supported and trained to use the ATS effectively.
- Candidates experience a smooth transition from interview through to onboarding.
- Talent Partners receive timely, reliable operational support.
