  • Full-time, Ongoing position at Higher Education Worker Level 4. 
  • Parramatta South Campus with flexible work arrangements. 
  • Salary: $79,542 – $84,683 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading. 


Support administrative excellence in Faculty operations to enhance the staff and student experience.

The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in the delivery of effective operations and processes within the Faculty of SABEL (Social Sciences, Arts, Business, Education, Law) at Western Sydney University. 
 
Working collaboratively across academic and professional teams, you will assist in the coordination of priorities, streamlining workflows and processes to ensure staff and students receive quality-assured and timely support. 
 
Embedded in a dynamic operational environment, you will provide high-quality administrative support, for core functions including record keeping, IT coordination, asset and procurement management, travel and expense processing and casual administration.  

What Success Looks Like:

  • Delivery of accurate, timely administrative support for Faculty operations. 
  • Maintenance of accurate records, management of School-specific inboxes and asset management. 
  • Coordination of documentation, records, and processing of financial transactions in line with university policies. 
  • Prompt assistance to staff and students to maintain strong professional relationships. 
  • Identification of opportunities to improve processes, systems, and service delivery.

About You

  • Administrative experience within a large or complex organisation. University experience is strongly desired, with familiarity and experience working within a matrix structure. 
  • Digital proficiency and skills to deliver documentation, spreadsheets, presentations, and skills in database and enterprise systems. 
  • Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to liaise confidently with staff, students, and external partners. 
  • Demonstrated organisational skills including workflow management, prioritisation, and the ability to meet deadlines, with or without supervision. 
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative, solve problems, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
