Company Description
WD is building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy.
As AI scales, so does data. Every interaction, every model, every system generates data that must be stored, managed, and made accessible over time. That’s where we come in.
We combine deep engineering expertise with global-scale manufacturing to deliver the storage systems that make AI possible, powering hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure worldwide.
This isn’t theoretical work. It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.
We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.
Join us and let’s shape the future of data.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer & RBA Visit / Audit Management
- Lead end-to-end preparation for customer and RBA audits — from aligning presentation packages to conducting dry-run rehearsals that ensure factory readiness
- Act as the key coordinator during pre-audit preparations, ensuring all documentation and processes meet customer expectations
- Publish visit/audit summary reports and Questionnaire scores post-audit
- Drive cross-functional follow-up on action items through to closure
- Maintain organized audit records by uploading presentation materials, visit reports, and Customer Questionnaire Scores into the designated Box folder (WDC CFE Customer Visit & Audit)
- Extend professional hospitality to visiting customers — including arrangement of hotel accommodations, transportation, and meals — with culturally sensitive service for Chinese-speaking delegations
- Support supplier audit and visit activities as requested by customers
- Quality Alert & Customer Complaint Resolution
- Coordinate with relevant departments to investigate and resolve customer complaints efficiently
- Issue and manage 8D problem-solving reports, tracking them through to final submission for customer reporting
- Conduct follow-up audits to validate the effectiveness of corrective and improvement actions
- Communicate complaint status updates and resolution progress directly in Chinese to relevant customer contacts when required
- Customer Reporting & First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Review and finalize improvement items from FPP (Failure Pareto Performance) reports on a monthly basis; ensure timely upload to Box for the Customer Support group's reference
- Present FPP reports and improvement plans to customers in scheduled review meetings — including presentation delivery in Chinese for designated customer accounts
- Coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and review FAI reports prior to submission to the Customer Support group
- Customer Factory Questionnaire / Assessment
- Collaborate with Customer Support groups and process owners to consolidate and submit customer Questionnaires, Checklists, and Assessments accurately and on time
- Translate, interpret, and clarify Chinese-language customer questionnaires and technical documents to ensure accurate responses from internal teams
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
- Support the Stop Order process — analyze and confirm shipped impact reports
- Assist Customer Support groups in analyzing factory-related data and information upon request
- Ensure customers' unique requirements are implemented at the factory level
- Contribute to process standardization and commonality across related manufacturing sites
- Support customer line audits and deliver drive handling training to reduce CND (Cannot Duplicate) and mishandling failures at customer lines — with capability to conduct training sessions in Chinese where applicable
- Participate in special task forces for process quality monitoring
- Support the preparation of management status reports
- Understand, apply, and actively support the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and internal IMS-related activities
