Job Description
As Manufacturing Process Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a manufacturing production or NPI line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively. You will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Communicates with engineers and technical specialist regarding sputter metrology tools measurement results and calibration procedure. Able to revise any documents changes regarding sputter metrology tools.
Regular Responsibilities
- Lead shift technicians to carry out daily shift work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve sputter instrumentation issues.
- Maintain and update sputter instrument documentation including standard work procedures, process specifications, etc.
- Facilitate small process improvement projects through collection and analyzing data and monitoring engineering trials.
- Entering and compiling data relating to metrology measurement.
- Training in the functions of the new project launches.
- Always adhere to safety guidelines and cleanroom protocols.
- Carry out periodic samples housekeeping & other tasks assigned by Engineer.
- Comply and support EHS policy. Participating in company activities such as IMS, 6S, RBA, BCMS etc.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide continuous support to production in sputter metrology methodologies, enhance sputter process performance, and optimize workflow efficiency.
Qualification – Education Requirement:
- Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- > 8 Years working experience in a manufacturing environment with sputter metrology knowledge, machine operation & analytical skills are preferred.
- Working experience in the sputter process and knowledge of Magnetic materials used in HDD would be an added advantage.
- Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate & detect process changes causing machine alarms.
- Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook). Macro in Excel would be an added advantage.
- Effective team player with proven relationship-building and communication skills, including cross-functional Production, Equipment, Yield, and Quality.
Skill / Experience Requirement:
- Senior Level Process Technician.
- Experience in leading a team would be an added advantage.
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Willing to work in a cleanroom environment.
- Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting process controls, process adjustments, data readback from the machine, and control limits.
- Communication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.
- Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
- Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Adaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
