Job Description

Summary of the Role:

As an Import/Export Analyst, Supply Chain, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of import transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and properly maintained. You will coordinate with buyers and 3PL providers to track shipments, facilitate customs clearance, process import permits, maintain records, and support daily reporting and cross-functional operations to ensure efficient and uninterrupted import activities.

Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Handle end-to-end import transactions and ensure accurate, compliant documentation.
  • Coordinate with buyers and 3PL to monitor shipment status and ensure smooth customs clearance.
  • Verify purchase orders and maintain accurate records for all related systems.
  • Prepare and process import permits through the e-IP system.
  • Monitor, update, and distribute daily import status reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Support the Supervisor and other departments to ensure efficient and uninterrupted import operations.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Custom Administration or a related field of study.
  • Industry exposure in the Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
  • Work experience particularly in customs and PEZA import processing, including import documentation, e-IP system processing, permit applications, shipment monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

Skills and Competency Requirement:

  • Strong knowledge of import/export processes, customs regulations, and trade compliance (including PEZA and e-IP systems).
  • Proficiency in documentation management, including preparation and verification of import permits, purchase orders, and shipment records.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to track and monitor shipments and manage end-to-end import transactions.
  • Competence in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel for reporting and data tracking).
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance of all import documentation and records.
  • Ability to verify purchase orders, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong record-keeping and filing practices to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, and distribute daily import status reports.
  • Strong understanding of audit requirements and compliance standards, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
