Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to C-Ent operations in the areas of Head Stack Assembly (HSA), automation projects, and smart maintenance initiatives.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions involving PLC programming and microcontroller systems.
  • Perform AI and robotics data analysis, including applications in deep learning and machine learning.
  • Communicate effectively in English and collaborate closely with the Fujikawa/San jose teams
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented approach when addressing challenges
  • Remain open to new ideas, training opportunities, and constructive feedback
  • Continuously seek opportunities for self-improvement and professional growth
  • Adapt effectively to changes in processes or company direction

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional careers by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechatronics engineering, Electrical Engineering, AI Robotics Engineering, Automation engineering, or equivalent experience

PREFERRED:

  • Strong technical skills in area of study
  • Skill in presentation, QC tools, lean management, problem-solving and decision-making, innovations, and project management; computer literate, i.e., Microsoft Office, PLC, Minitab, SolidWorks, Power BI, and Spotfire; skill in basic programming (C, Python).
  • Mini project experience in AI, Machine learning, computer vision and Deep learning
  • Knowledge of automation, data analytics & smart factories.
  • Demonstrate a good level of English proficiency (written/verbal)
