Job Description

Summary of the Role:

As a Senior Engineer, Product Engineering, you will focus on characterizing and optimizing HDD media performance to ensure high-quality, reliable outputs. You will analyze performance data, monitor key metrics, and drive continuous improvements. The role delivers actionable insights to enhance yield, quality, and process efficiency, while collaborating closely with development, process engineering, and cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Analyze HDD vs Media performance data and drive Media performance optimization
  • Monitor Media performance KPIs and guide continuous improvement
  • Deliver actionable insights through data/process characterization
  • Enhances yield, quality, and process efficiency
  • Support Media performance optimization from development to high volume production
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Drive digitalization initiatives in manufacturing
  • Implementing data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics.
  • Utilize AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield, reliability, and performance trends.
  • Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for KPI monitoring

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field of study.
  • Atleast 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Industry exposure in the Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (JMP, Minitab, SQL) and exposure to Python/R for data science
  • Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage)
  • Update to date on Industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and smart factory trends.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or client meetings.
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadline.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
