Job Description

The Fixed asset Supervisor is responsible for the overall fixed asset accounting and reporting of Western Digital’s (WD) Asia Pacific region.   She should ensure that a robust accounting controls, accounting quality and compliance are in-placed.  The position will report to the Fixed Asset Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations and monthly closing activities of the Fixed asset process
  • Review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including reporting packages for management team, tax requirement and various ad hoc requests
  • Manage the fixed asset team to meet Fixed asset department objectives
  • Be a business partner by reporting accurate numbers and support operations team from an accounting standpoint
  • Manage or Participate in corporate initiatives projects and ensure that finance tasks and activities are addressed in a timely manner
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Primary responsible in interacting with external and internal auditors and ensuring smooth audit close.
  • Management of FA analyst’s individual career objective, development, and performance.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory fixed asset experience in shared services or other relevant industries
  • Strong technical expertise on fixed asset process
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of constituency including corporate tax team, auditors, business leads, corporate executives
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative, well organized and attention to detail

PREFERRED:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Knowledgeable on US GAAP fixed asset reporting
  • Capability to manage workload distribution across different geographies and different time zones
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures

SKILLS:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with high level proficiency in English (Must)
  • Good financial and analytical skills
  • Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency
  • Knowledge and experience with ERPs preferably in Oracle Cloud
